Bespoke reports:

 

A study released in June by Cebr in collaboration with Legal and General analysing the mismatch between first time buyers’ aspirations and an affordable reality was covered by the BBC NewsnightDaily Telegraph, Daily Mail and FT Advisor.

 

A study by Cebr and EE which found that pop-up retailing produced £2.1bn in retail turnover from 2013 to 2014 was covered by the Evening Standard.

 

Cebr’s report with Veracode found that cyber attacks cost UK businesses over £34bn per year. It was featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Daily Telegraph (x2) and Computer Weekly.

 

Cebr’s study with Killik & Co (Killik Private Education Index), focusing on the affordability of private education was covered by Channel 4’s FactCheck.

YouGov and Cebr’s Consumer Confidence Index which recently showed that optimism had surged after the general election, was mentioned by Reuters.

 

Cebr and the Post Office’s regular Future of Savings report found in its most recent calculations that the average house had increased in value by 12 per cent, or £29,339 in the last 12 months to December. By contrast, the average salary rose on average by 0.6 per cent and the average worker earned £27, 271. The findings of this research were covered by City AM.

 

The most recent ICAEW/Grant Thornton UK Business Confidence Monitor produced in conjunction with Cebr, revealed that the confidence index for London stands at 16.2, up from 15.1 in the last quarter. The findings were covered by City AM.

 

On his tour of South East Asia and the Middle East for ICAEW’s Economic Insight reports on the regions, Scott Corfe, Cebr’s Associate Director was interviewed by Bloomberg. Scott was also quoted in the Times of Oman, Trade Arabia and Saudi Gazette.

Analysis:

Economist Nina Skero was quoted in the Daily Telegraph commenting on the changing relationship between the UK and its largest trading partner, Europe, in light of a potential Brexit. Nina’s comments on UK wage growth were also quoted by the Independent.

 

Commenting on the ECB’s QE programme, Economist Alasdair Cavalla was quoted by Bloomberg.

 

Senior Economist Danae Kyriakopoulou said ‘no’ to a Grexit in City AM. Danae’s comments on the Greek debt crisis were also quoted by Bloomberg and Times of India, she also gave interviews to the BBC World Service and CNBC Africa (x2).

Cebr’s forecast for a 1.5 per cent increase in house prices across the UK was covered by the Daily Telegraph.

 

Vicky Pryce, Cebr’s Chief Economic Adviser, has written about the impending debt crisis in Greece in the Guardian, Prospect Magazine, City AM, the New Statesman and Evening Standard. On the ramifications of the debt crisis Vicky has also given interviews to the BBCBBC World Service, BBC Money Box programme, Al Jazeera, CNN, CNBC and ITV News. She was also quoted by Bloomberg, City AM, the Daily Telegraph and This is Money.
