John Duff chairman
With thirty years top-level corporate experience, John is
chairman
of our board and an active member of cebr's executive
team. He advises our clients on trends in technology markets
and how best to utilise their marketing and sales functions
to exploit them. John joined us from IBM where, as a director
in the UK and Europe, he was responsible for new business
ventures, European government business and the European computer
market. His managerial experience spans finance, sales,
corporate planning and product introduction.

Douglas McWilliams chief executive As
one of Europe's top forecasters, Douglas is a well-known
keynote speaker at conferences and frequent guest commentator
on radio and television. He advises our clients on economic
and business trends and the implications for their strategies.
After a successful career in industry as IBM United
Kingdom's chief economist, Douglas was appointed chief
economic adviser to the Confederation of British Industry,
where he received the Sunday Times' Golden Guru award
for best UK economic forecaster in 1992. In the same
year, he founded cebr. Douglas was visiting professor
at Kingston University Business School for ten years,
and has also been a council member at the Institute
for Fiscal Studies and chairman of the economics forecasting
group of the European federation of employers' organisations,
UNICE. He is a non-executive director of Marconi
Corporation plc.

Mark Pragnell managing director
Building on over ten years experience in consultancy, industry
and public policy, Mark leads our team of consultants
and is responsible for developing the business. He advises
our clients on how to use research to deliver robust and
actionable recommendations for their future strategy.
Mark joined cebr from Consumers' Association where, as
head of their Consumer Intelligence Unit, he led research
into buying behaviour and trends.

David Coates CB associate director
After a distinguished career in the UK civil service,
David advises our public sector clients on trade, competitiveness
and regional development issues. Having retired as chief economic adviser at the Department of
Trade and Industry, David works with cebr on an associate basis for specific assignments. His thirty-four years experience in Whitehall
covered regional policy, shipbuilding, government assistance
to industry, training and trade policy.

Graham Wye associate director
With a long history occupying various roles in the City, from stockbroker trader to fund manager, Graham contributes to cebr's work on financial services and to the prospects service. Graham was director of sterling fixed interest at Capel Cure Myers / ANZ Bank and spent seven years at ICAP and Tradition sterling swap desk, heading up the sterling fixed interest desk.

Dominic Walley managing economist
Dominic advises our clients on transport strategy and planning. He helps them make sound business decisions about new road, rail, bus and air schemes and then develops with them cogent and convincing cases to be put to planning authorities. He joined cebr in 2003 with five years experience of financial modeling and planning at Steer Davies Gleeve and at South West Trains.

With seven years experience in the economics of public policy and of regulation, John leads cebr's consultancy services and research in these areas. He also provides insight into our transport economics work and the prospects service. He has an MSC economics from University College London and took BA (Hons) Philosophy, Politics and Economics and Keble College, University of Oxford.

Jonathan Said senior economist
Jonathan leads a wide range of our corporate strategy, planning and public policy assignments, as well as leading the prospects service - cebr's macroeconomic advisory service. He joined cebr with a degree in economics and accounting from the University of Malta and an MSc in economics from the University of Warwick . His post-graduate dissertation examined how the governments of developing countries adjust their budgets. |

Claudia Ashford business development executive
With her background in marketing, Claudia joined cebr in June 2004 and is responsible for developing relationships with new clients. She read German and Spanish studies at the University of Oxford. |

Sarah Bloomfield economist
Since joining cebr, Sarah has contributed to a wide range of projects. She leads our research in the insolvency sector whilst being our main econometrician. She also conducts a number of our monthly and quarterly reports and contributes to the prospects service. She has an MSc Economics and Econometrics from the University of Southampton. |

Richard Snook economist
Richard contributes to cebr's research in areas such as commodity market forecasting, transport analysis, macroeconomic forecasting and economic impact and evaluation. He has a Bachelor degree in economics and management from Balliol College, Oxford and a Masters in economics from Exeter.

Laurent Souron economist
Laurent works across our consultancy assignments; his diverse portfolio includes studies on transport appraisement and modelling the life and pensions market He joined cebr with a Masters degree in international and development economics from Universite' Paris I, joint with Concordia University, Montreal, Canada and Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Recife, Brazil.

Jessica Southgate finance officer
Jessica is our finance officer and is responsible for
office management. She is a graduate of Liverpool John
Moores University, where she read business administration.
Jessica is currently studying for membership of the Chartered
Institute of Management Accountants.
