Using computer models to better understand future trends

We are expert in the design, development and use of computer models for forecasting and simulation purposes. We also have a number of 'off-the-shelf' models which we update and run on an ongoing basis, and are available to our clients.

Our macroeconomy suite is a set of interlinked models of the global, European and UK economies:
  • WorMod — forecasts the performance of the world economy, and each of its main economies and trading blocs
  • EurMod — predicts the key macroeconomic trends across the European Union and its member states
  • UKMod — produces projections for 129 of the UK's main business and economic statistics
We have developed a number of sophisticated regional forecasting models which treat regions and cities as economies in their own right. They include:
  • LonMod — the first economic model of London
  • NoWMod — forecasts the Northwest economy
  • ManMod — predicts performance in Greater Manchester and each of its boroughs
  • London Zonal Economic Activity Model — simulates the interactions between the capital's housing, transport, business and labour markets at a very local level
We have also created a number of models to forecast specific industries including:
  • Railways
  • Housing
  • DIY
  • Building materials
  • Information technology
  • Tourism
  • Retail
